Story

Hi there,

Our daughter, Ingrid, has Type 1 diabetes as does our nephew, James, several cousins, and several friends.

Research is definitely making the treatment more palatable, but since the 1980s the incidence of type 1 diabetes has steadily increased in Australia and worldwide. The reasons for this increase are poorly understood, and there is now an urgent need to keep researching to find out why.
Your donations, of whatever size, will be really appreciated by all those whose life is impacted by multiple injections and finger prick blood tests every day.

I am honoured to be a part of this ride to help TD1 researchers delve further into the causes of this insidious disease and hopefully arrive at a cure.
